If it were up to me, there would be no notes, everyone would live in a note-free world. It would be a world where tigers roam the streets and alligators wear pink bow ties. Everywhere riot cops would be rioting in the millions, days on end, would the riot cops be rioting. When they were asked why they rioted, they said that it was “because of the people.” That the people weren’t rioting, so they were rioting, and the people used to riot which gave them a job, but now the people weren’t rioting, so they had no job, so they rioted.
Often the people would indeed ask them things, they would wonder about things. But they did not take action, they simply wondered. So, the riot cops continued to riot, and they would continue until the people started rioting, only when the people started rioting would they have a job, a job to stop the people from rioting. The riot cops rioted about the system, the system that led them towards having no job, the system that was for the people, the people who had jobs, and the riot cops who had no jobs. So they rioted, day and night did they riot, and at nighttime you could hear them. You could hear the boot, the shield, and the smashing of the windows, and the looting, you could hear the looting, which harmed the people, harmed them much.
In this bizarre world people would light their smokes with the fire they breathe, and animals would be multi-coloured. There would be no need for cigarette companies because the tobacco plants would grow like weeds. All-nighters would be the norm in this world, people would willingly die of sleep deprivation.
“Hey dude, shouldn’t we get some sleep?”
“Who the fuck do you think I am?”
Grizzly bears would be the common house pet, people would cuddle up at night with the bears, give a big kiss goodnight and ask for a gentle back scratch. Of course, only the sane would sleep, so the sane would be mostly the ones who pay the price for falling asleep next to a grizzly.
The president would be a giant hot air balloon with the face of Elmo. When Elmo would want something done, he would expand, when he was satisfied with what has been done, he would deflate. The only flaw would be that he could never be absolutely satisfied. Dissatisfaction would only make him bigger, in the present day of this world, Elmo is as big as the sky, everywhere is a stretched out Elmo, a giant face on a hot air balloon. Planes would bounce off Elmo and explode, which is why people generally flew with the birds. I’m going to bed.
I dreamt of something yesterday… I dreamt of a bear… I thought, in my dream. The bear was ferocious, the bear was angry, the bear, she saw me. She was only trying to protect her young… she was only trying to protect her young. But, the young did not want to be protected, they saw what they could only see. The young, saw me. They saw I had no fur, they saw I had no claws, they saw I had no sharp teeth, no loud growl, no honey… no honey. So, they thought, for they could think of things, and they did not wish to be protected from something that had no claws, no fur, no sharp teeth… no honey. I stood there, still as a hanging bat, and in my hands that were not paws with sharp claws, in my hands I held my skin. I held my weapons as my hands, I held my passion as my hands, I held the freedom in my hands. Only in my hands I held these things, and not in my paws, for my paws I did not have. In my hand, I was holding money, in my dream. A dollar bill I had in my left hand, and my right hand I also had. When I cinched my eyes, I could see that my right hand, near my right thigh, that it was a strong hand, a sturdy hand, a hand with all five fingers. And, I looked back to my left hand, and there was no dollar bill, and I awoke, from my dream, about the bears, about the young, about my hands, and not my paws.
And I awoke. So I walked down the road, towards the tobacco plants. Dodged the fires, dodged the wildfires, dodged the clones, dodged the holes in the walls, dodged the lights and became darkness. And, I realized that I had missed one thing. I had fallen into the circumstance of the hole I did not see, and I believed that it should not have been there, so I did not manage to dodge it. And now things were dark, dark as a black hole. Perhaps, I thought that I had been sucked, sucked into a hole, sucked into a dark place. Where there are no clones, no fires, no wildfires, no lights. And so, in this hole, there seemed only to be darkness. I walked, I walked, I walked, through the darkness, in this hole, I walked. And I wished for the fires, I wished for the wildfires, I wished for the clones, I wished for the lights… but things were dark, and I wished no longer to walk through darkness. So I tried, I tried my absolute hardest. I tried so much and I knew that my efforts may lead me nowhere… but I still tried my hardest. Because I wanted that light, I wanted that fire, and those wildfires! And I wanted desperately those clones, did I want! So all I could do was try. So I tried, I tried my hardest, but there was still darkness. Covered in darkness, painted the darkness, splashed by darkness. So, I thought of those clones, I thought of those fires and those wildfires. I felt the warmth of those fires, the company of those clones, and the circumstances of those wildfires. I could feel them, I knew they were close by to me, I knew they were real, I knew it. And I knew that at the end of the tunnel I would see, only at the end of the tunnel would I be able to see those fires in the distance… those wildfires in the distance. And I could smell those clones, the burning oil, I could also smell it, I could feel the warmth of the fires, and the wildfires. I could feel the company, I could also hear them, and I could taste the ashes in my mouth, I knew they were close by, I knew it. Only when they were close by, did I feel at home, and I was at home, I felt at home, so I continued on my way towards the tobacco plants.
So there was a reptile, and the reptile was ferocious. I saw the reptile, the reptile was in my way, the way towards the tobacco plants. The reptile had on a pink bow tie, it was quite large in front of me, it had sharp teeth, a large mouth, and a long tail. It looked at me, but I only looked at it for a moment. It continued to make eye contact, and I did not wish to make eye contact, but, it was staring at me, and it was in the way, the way towards the tobacco plants. I stared at it, looked it right in the eyes, time passed and we stared at each other in the eye. The pink bow tie was on this reptile, so the reptile was dressed up, I wondered about the pink bow tie, I wondered what the reptile might be attending. And we stared at each other in the eyes, we could see each other, see each other’s eyes. Many moments passed and I wondered how to continue on the way towards the tobacco plants. I continued to make eye contact, right directly in the eyes, and the reptile and I saw each other, only through the eye contact did we know each other. So we understood each other, is what I thought, and I continued past the reptile, the reptile continued past me, and we both went in our directions.
So past the reptile was there another beast, another ferocious beast there was. It was a tiger, a mighty tiger, a cat in all its glory, a mighty cat. With great beauty, this cat had great beauty, and fur, and claws, and sharp teeth… and big eyes. So it lay there, it lay there near me, and I observed its great beauty, its glorious stripes and wonderful colors. Colors of orange and yellow, gold and white, brown and black. With stripes that swerved down its back, along its torso, and within its face, they were lines of beauty. And large eyes, a nose, whiskers that were beautiful, and ears that stood, listening. But the tiger did not look at me, the tiger looked away, it was only I who looked upon the tiger. I wished I was that tiger, I wanted to be that tiger, that tiger so beautiful. But, it did not look at me as I looked at it, and I thought that perhaps I wasn’t beautiful enough for an animal of such beauty to look upon me, as I looked upon it. It looked away from me, and I looked in the direction it was looking in, in the direction it was looking in was another tiger, looking at it, another tiger, much similar to the tiger, looking at the tiger, it was. So I looked ahead, where there were more clones, and I continued on my way towards the tobacco plants.
And as time passed, only when time passed, did I eventually reach my destination. My destination that filled my blood. The blood of life, the blood of my ancestors, the blood of the people, the blood that is red hot AND blue cold, was filled with tobacco smoke. So, I thought for a second, or two, and I heard the laugh of the reptile, and the growl of the tiger. Only then I knew of my struggle, that would start with the laugh of the reptile, consume the tobacco plants, and end with the growl of the tiger.
